Each glass ornament is mouth-blown into finely carved molds and a solution of hot liquid silver is added for exceptional color and vibrance. The ornaments are then hand-painted and hand-glittered for a fine finish.

This beautiful bird is also known as the American Egret, common egret, or angel bird. In the early 20th century, its population was greatly decreased by the demand for its feathers for women’s fashion. With the protection of its wetland habitats and offshore nesting sites, it may recover.
